H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has given specific instructions on how to listen to His discourses and why this is important if one is to learn the correct Buddha-dharma so as to attain the compassion and wisdom to become enlightened in this life time. At present, it is very difficult for non-Chinese speaking students to hear these discourses. This course, and others like it, attempts to provide a method for hearing preliminary, unapproved translations in English and offers an opportunity for Chinese speaking and English-speaking students to study together and gain insight on these discourses. 第三世多杰羌佛對怎樣聞受祂的開示及為什麼這樣做對學到真正的佛法以獲得悲智而能今生成道來說是重要的作了具體的指示，但目前情況是，不懂中文的學生非常難以聽到這些開示。這門課和其它類似的課程試圖提供一個聽聞初步的、未核准的英文翻譯的辦法並提供一個讓講中文的學生和講英文的學生一起學習而深入了解這些開示的機會。
Student will attend three-day meditation retreat & seminar; Listen to at least three dharma discourses given in Chinese by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III twice, prepare a summary paper on the essence of each of these discourses and at least three questions for each discourse to ask other students attending seminar during a Group Debate; and participate in Group Debate(s) during seminar. The advantage of group debate is explained on a previous page. Student will also maintain a journal for at least eight weeks on how he/she has applied the Buddhist principles he/she learned in this seminar to his/her dharma practice and/or his/her cultivation and practice of bodhichitta as well as prepare two final class papers including a revised summary for each discourse and of the lessons learned from applying the principles contained in the discourses and a second paper that could be given as a discourse on the Buddhist principles contained in these discourses. This format is based on the Seven Dharmas given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in the dharma discourses used in I-105 Correct Way to Listen to Dharma Discourses Seminar. There will also be a final exam. 學生將參加為期三天的閉關和討論會：聞聽至少三課第三世多杰羌佛以中文作的開示，準備一份關於每一堂開示的精髓的總結論文並對每一開示提出至少三個問題用來在討論會的結場辯論時問其他同學。學生也要寫至少八週的日記來記錄他/她怎樣把在討論會學到的佛教的道理運用到他/她的修法和修持菩提心並準備兩篇論文，其中一篇是修改過的對每堂開示的總結再加上運用從這些開示中學到的原理的心得，另一篇是關於這些開示中包含的佛教原理所作的開示。最後會有一場考試。
PREREQUISITES: Chinese students will need to listen to each of these three discourses at least three times prior to class so as to be able to help the translator and meet the dharma requirements for listening to dharma. 先修課程或選課條件：中文學生需要在學習此課程之前先聽過這些開示至少三遍以能幫助翻譯員並滿足關於聞法的佛法要求。
